The Handover from the 'Four Season's President's to President Simon Kalson took place once again with the generous offer at the home of Paul & Gill Smith.


CLUB HANDOVER 2025 - 2026

 

The club handover took place on Thursday 3rd July at the home of Paul & Gill Smith in Wragby. The Club wishes again to thank Paul & Gill for their generosity in hosting yet another Rotary event, and for all the hard work involved. The evening was very successful and  enjoyed by all of those who attended who extended their gratitude to our hosts.

President Simon presenting a cheque for £100 to Sue who is the Musical Director of the Nottingham Ukrainian Ensemble, and all their takings are passed on to David Pond.  
David goes with a vehicle about four times a year to Ukraine with mainly A & E medical equipment for the behind the lines war zone.

I hope you will be pleased to know that our local competion entry (there was only one who entered) to the Distric Young Photographer competition has won and goes to the National Final. It was a last minute decision to submit his photo .........just goes to show.........

 

The theme was "Happiness in Nature'andthe winer Axel Ross snapped the above photo in Hartsholme Park and he gets a prize and a certificate.

Axel Ross-Richardson from Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School receives his District 1070  certificate and £50 for winning the Young Photographer competition. It was presented by our President, Simon Kalson.

His winning entry is now submitted to the National Final.

The Annual Quiz Competition at Rand

Once again due to the generosity of Paul & Gill Smith this event was held at Rand on Friday 29th May.  Enormous thanks must go to Derek Muhl & Carmel for the seemless organisation of this annual Rotary event with the profits going to St Barnabus Hospice. The event as always well attended by the club, former Lindum Lincoln members and friends.

Hi all,

Two weeks ago I went to see Paige Bavin who was the Lincoln area winner of our young environmentalist competition in 2025 receive her District winning prize at Kimbolton Castle.

She was then nominated for the National Final which I have just been informed she has won

The final of The Young Environmental Award 2026 was held at Whisby Nature Reserve on the 20th June, supported by The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and sponsored by FCC Environment, Lincoln. The judging panel visited 7 sites and were impressed with the care
