N'Giresi village has approximately 3,000 people, including children. It is situated on Mount Meru, near Arusha, Tanzania. Exeter Southernhay worked with Hemel Hempstead and Arusha Mount Meru Rotary clubs to provide fresh clean water to the primary and secondary schools so that the children could have water at school as well as taking it home for their families. Whilst the connection to the primary school went well, the secondary school installation proved more challenging but was completed due to the dedication of several Rotarians. Full details of the project can be read on the N'Giresi Water Project web site.
