 .

Noah's Ark Hospice Logo

Noah's Ark Children's Hospice is a community based hospice service providing support for children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North London. We have provided care and support to 171 families, 140 children and 76 siblings. Our mission is:

  • to provide care and support for children and young people from birth who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.  Our aim is to enable them to live full lives and to achieve their aspirations;
  • to ensure that families are able to live life as fully as possible whilst their child is still alive and go on to face the future with hope after bereavement.

Noah's Ark currently has an annual income target of £1.4m to provide our vital services.  As a charity we remain dependent on private donations to provide our services with only 10% of funding coming from the statutory sector.

St George's Foundation logo St George Foundation is a charity in England and a Local Non Government Organisation (NGO) in Sierra Leone working together since 2004.

In England we are a small team of volunteers with no paid staff and no physical office. This enables 97% of everything we raise to go directly to the work in Sierra Leone.

In Sierra Leone we are a Local NGO and work closely with The Sierra Leonean Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs.  We belong to the Child Protection Committee and also Family Tracing & Reunification (FTR) Group.

We are the leading child welfare provider in an area known as Western Rural with a population of approximately 250,000 people.  This is the rural area immediately on the outskirts of Freetown and covers the Freetown Peninsula (excluding the urban area itself).
