A good turnout saw 15 teams from 12 primary schools take part in the 24th Mount Grace School, 7-a-Side Football Tournament. It was an exciting morning of football, with all 150 children proud to represent their schools. The Rotary Club of Brookmans Park was once again very pleased to be sponsors of the tournament.
All those watching were treated to a high standard of skilful and often exciting football.
Oakmere A, Cuffley A, Little Heath A and Brookmans Park A qualified from the preliminary rounds to reach the semi-finals. The first semi-final saw Oakmere beat Brookmans Park 1-0. The second semi-final was won 2-0 by Cuffley, after extra time.
For a record fifth consecutive year Oakmere A and Cuffley A met in a tense final. After a closely fought, thrilling match, neither team could find that all important winner and Cuffley beat Oakmere 3-0 after a penalty shoot-out.
