October 24th is World Polio Day - Guy & Gill join Rotary's Polio Immunisation team in India
Guy & Gill Parkinson joined many other Rotarians in travelling to India to assist in the polio National Immunisation Day (NID) in early March 2016.
24th Ocotber is World Polio Day .. we are in the brink of eradicating polio from the world .. in 1985 Rotary pledged to rid th world of poilio and there were 1000 new cases A DAY. This year there have been about 26 case so far this year!! There is the possibility that 2016 could see the last ever case of polio .. but vaccination must continue until it has been "gone" for 3 years.
