5/02/26 Travel Quiz
Sadly, our planned speaker, (Charlotte King talking about the Radcliffe Book Shop), had to drop out at the last minute due to family reasons. Unfortunately, or fortunately, there were many guests at the partners meeting which helped the alternative meeting format.
Like a true Boy Scout, Denis Bacon had prepared an alternate to the talk by having a Travel quiz available, with teams of 6 members having to recognise locations around the world from Denis’s travels.
It turned out to be a most successful event, and was greatly enjoyed by the Club. Unsurprisingly, the quiz was won by a large margin by a well-travelled team containing Rob Gray, Steve Carson and others.
For preparing and running the quiz at short notice, Denis got 10/10.
For forgetting to buy chocolates for the winning team, Denis scored 0/10.
A successful and enjoyable evening, and Denis was deservedly thanked and applauded for his effort.
