Despite being Committees week, as a Club we are supporting Edwalton Manor Care Home in their "Light Evening"  in West Bridgford on Thursday 6th November. The ticketed event is free to the public and is limited to 150 people in two sessions of one hour between 5.00 and 7.00pm. The event will be held in the two gardens of the Care Home and will have performers(Rotarian Prancers!) as well as music and fireworks. The entry includes a Burger and, although the event is free, they will be asked to make a voluntary contribution of around £3.00; any money collected will be donated to our Cotgrave Memory Cafe.

6th November 2025 Edwalton Manor” Light Evening” –

A great evening of community support and fun. Rob was organising, Alan F and Chris S were collecting details and Money, President Gail and the “girls” were all dancing and prancing with their light cloaks and flashing headgear, Chris N and Allen were entertaining the children and parents with their ‘spin the wheel’ competition and Gordon was clucking and laughing with his “chicken costume”. Louise briefed us all and showed us around, they fed us and drinks provided with a final ‘gift Box’.

Somehow, I think this is the beginning of a great partnership with The Care home and our Memory Café.  Well done Rob!         AR
