6th February 2025- Business Meeting
President Gerry welcomed potential new member Susan to her second meeting, then the evening started with Jane reminding us ALL to make as much effort as possible to recruit some teams for the Swimathon (6 teams, so far, 12 minimum required!) Mike T then raised the issue of which charities are we donating with the money raised? (Notts Lincs Air Ambulance; First Responders; Memory Café; Water Aid; Gail was presented with her Gong of Office as President Nominee and the standard committee reports followed, together with the announcement that Council had confirmed that the Club’s Charter event would take place at The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club on Thursday 22nd May at £35 and formal/lounge suits dress code.
President Gerry then gave a presentation on ‘Sustaining a Rotary presence in the Vale of Belvoir to 2030 which had been put together by PP David E, P Gerry S, PE Steve L and PN Gail, as a consultation process for members discussion and input, inviting questions and comments by 28 February. Four key issues had been identified:
