13th June 2024 Club Assembly
Incoming President Gerry opened the Club Assembly with his thanks to club members for support so far. He reviewed his Plans and Visions, itemising his 4 objectives for his year 2024/25:
1. Prepare for Steve Lawes’ Year 2025/26.
2. Be open to Change suggestions:
Research what opportunities are needed to provide for VoB Rotary’s long-term future.
3. Explore and copy any good ideas adopted by other clubs.
4. Celebrate our 35th year (May 2025) with a traditional Charter rather than a birthday dinner

a) Sophie expressed pleasure at the friendliness of Club and thanked its members
b) Also said how confident she felt about the plans of members in pursuit of Rotary ideals
c) Great thoughts on developing Friends of Rotary
d) Swimathon – Sherwood Sunrises also have a very active Swimathon which they have run for years – maybe seek their advice
