October 2021 saw the return of our Memory cafe at Cotgrave Church which takes place on the last Thursday of the month from 2.00 - 4.00 p.m.
We provide interesting activities for those who have memory problems and their careers together with sandwiches and home made cakes.
October 2021. David Valentine provided a session about masks with videos and clips of masks throughout the world. Very appropriate as we are now all used to wearing them!
Masks were then decorated and displayed!
November 2021. Our Christmas party. We were entertained by the Ukulele Band and singers from Keyworth, enjoyed games and ended with carol singing.
December 2021 No meeting
January 2022 The theme this month was Winter , facilitated by Rob Gray. We saw pictures and videos of winter in Nottingham since the 50s.
February 2022 Mary and Gerry showed a miscellany of pictures from baby buggies to old children’s toys . We enjoyed eating some old fashioned sweets such as flying saucers and liquorice root! We ended with a sing song, thanks to Denis’s accomplished performance on the piano!
March 2020. Unfortunately the meeting was cancelled due to Covid.
June 2020 - On Thursday 30th June our Memory Cafe held a Special Queen's Jubilee celebration, including a special cardboard cut-out guest.Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event and they even appointed their very own King Reg and Queen Maisie!.Tea, cake and sing songs were all part of the happy occasion, with Gerry and Mary's team well supported by a number of the Rotarian's wives.
