Christmas Float - 2020

Due to Covid-19 we were unsure if this event would take place, but thanks to support from Blue Diamond at East Bridgford we were able to have a static collection with an amazing result.

Rudolf is now back in his stable and another year of sleigh related collection activity is behind us. Despite the Covid pandemic the total collected at Blue Diamond was a grand total of £3,408.31.

This was a wonderful outcome, especially as we had assumed that most visitors to the garden centre would not be carrying cash this year.

We did manage to tow the sleigh around Newton, Bingham, Saxondale, Radcliffe and Cotgrave on a Tuesday evening. On this ocassion we were not raising money just hoping to help families celebrate Christmas.The message had obviously got around via social media, and it was lovely to see families out to watch the sleigh on its route.

more As we begin to get life back to “normal” we were stunned with the generosity of everyone as we once again hit the streets with our a Christmas Float. Thanks to all non-Rotarians who helped collect.

more We were overwhelmed by the support for our Christmas Fund raising activities in the villages of the Vale in 2018. Rudolph did his rounds to the delight of local residents, (and not just the children,) and over £5000 was raised for our Rotary causes
