RotaKids

The beginnings of our first Rota Kids Club

We were delighted to be the first club in District 1220 to form a RotaKids. We had worked with Rob Gilbey Headteacher at Robert Miles Junior School who was keen to form a group, and in 2017 the 13 founder members of the committee were  ready to begin planning their community work for their first year as a club.

2018 - At the start of the new school year a 15-strong group of RotaKids held their first meeting. After the election of President, Secretary & Treasurer they got down to the serious business of sorting out their activities in the community. They've planned a busy first few months as they agreed to:

* help Rotarians plant 5000 crocus bulbs to protect children and rid the world of polio

* organise the school's Children in Need Fund Raising Event. Our Club provided a Pudsey Bear to raffle off at the event

* perform as a choir at the monthly memory cafe in Cotgrave

* arrange a litter pick on the Linear Walk in Bingham
