On a lovely summer's day on 2nd June intrepid runners and walkers put their best foot forward to tackle the green and verdant surrounds of Wallington Hall to raise funds for the Magpie Centre for Riding for the Disabled and for Charities supported by King's Lynn Trinity Rotary. Some 40 runners and walkers participated and Tthe funds raised of over £500 will be divided between the two.
Rosie O'Grady the chairperson of the Riding Centre siad that they were delighted to host the event again this year and said we were blessed with the summer weather and enjoyed looking after the walkers and runners who said the countryside for the event was beautiful.
The route taken is not the usual road and pavement but is on a working farm and uses farm tracks and paths. Most of it goes through wooded areas which offers not only peaceful and magical woods but also shade from the sun.
The participants said that it was different to most courses and presented a challenge that they welcomed and were looking to take part again next year and were complimentary about the course and the arrangements.
Many thanks to Mr & Mrs John Plaxton the owners of Wallington Hall for their enthusiastic support for the event
