What an amazing organisation Humphry Davy School Interact Club is! Through ongoing fundraising, including recent cake stalls and non-uniform days, the club has raised £500 to help victims of the war in Ukraine. The money will be added to the £1,300 already raised by Mounts Bay Rotary and sent to Eastern Europe where local Rotarians will support refugees from the war who are now homeless due to no fault of their own. Headmaster Bill Marshall and PE teacher Sarah Stovell, along with Interactors Oscar Simmons, Kit Simmons, Daisy Hudson and Elsie Hudson handed over the cheque to Del James, incoming President of Mounts Bay Rotary.

Incidentally, Oscar Simmons (president of the Interact Club) recently received the Sir Humphry Davy Prize for proficiency in Chemistry and Physics from the Mayor of Penzance.
