We recently had an incredible speaker, Manda Brookman, who spoke to the club about climate change and how we can face up to it, showing some powerful images of how the climate emergency is affecting parts of the world now, even here in the UK, where we have experienced record high temperatures recently.
Category 5 Hurricane Dorian, which hit the Bahamas is the kind of extreme weather event we can expect to become more frequent due to climate change, and is especially poignant for Rotarians, given that previous RI President, Barry Rassin comes from that country and spoke about how vulnerable it is to climate change.
