RYLA/Ocean Youth Trust sponsorship 2023 Interviews

Skipton Craven Rotary Club and Skipton Rotary Club are once again sponsoring six candidates to take part in leadership activities this Summer (2023) during the school holidays


We will sponsor three young people for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, (RYLA) held at the Hebden Hey Activity Centre and three for the Ocean Youth Trust (North) Sailing Award which sails from North Shields.

There is NO cost to the candidates, all costs are met by the Rotary clubs and candidates will be taken to and from the course venues by Rotary members.

Prospective candidates must be in year 11 or year 12 and must live in or be educated in the Skipton Craven area.

All schools have been given information about the courses but additional information can be found at ylrotary.org.uk/club-support/ryla/ and on oytnorth.org.uk/

The deadline for applications has been extended until Friday 24th February and interviews will take place at the Skipton Town Hall in early March 2023. Candidates can apply for one or both courses.

Applications are by a letter which must include: Name, DOB, address, email address, phone contact number, the school or college attended as well as some background information about yourself and why you wish to be considered for a place on the course/s.
