Sunday 4th August 2024 - David and Terry set off from Northampton  at 6.30 am. with the Ambulance.

By the end of the day David Reported:

"Yes we have arrived safely at our first overnight stop in Wurpertal, near Dortmund in Germany. We have passed through , England,  France, Belgium, Netherlands  and now Germany . So far so good  and Terry is behaving himself. Minor delays at the English and French Customs but otherwise the Ambulance performed very well. Hope to be on the road at 7.30am tomorrow morning when we head to Gliwice in Poland for our 2nd overnight stop."

Rotary Becket (with support from the Rotary Club of Towcester) has recently purchased and prepared this ambulance and will be driving it out to the Ukraine in August.  It will be used in conjunction with local Rotary Clubs in the Ukraine to transport the injured and elderly to safely.

To maximise the benefit we have packed the ambulance with donated community medical equipment such as walking aids plus winter clothing again for use by civilians that have been affected by the current Russian invasion and bombing.

.

Appeal for Equipment & Clothing

Rotary Becket appealed for donations of medical equipment such as walking aids plus winter clothing that people could spare suitable for wearing during cold, and often wet winter weather

The response of the public has been so generous that we managed to fill the Ambulance in a couple of weeks. Thanks you for all your contributions!

See how it was filled!

Appeal for Funds - Help still Needed!
