Blythe Bridge Rotary Charity Walk Challenge

Sunday 28th June 2026

Queens Park Longton

Participant information.

Thank you for showing an interest in the Blythe Bridge Rotary club charity walk challenge on Sunday 28th June 2026 at Queens Park, Longton - in conjunction with the North Staffs Armed Forces day.

Registration  - Please register and pay your £2pp entry donation on the day of the walk from 10am onwards at the Blythe Bridge Rotary Gazebo club stall, located adjacent to the main bandstand area in Longton park - A registration/declaration form is attached below so you can complete and bring along with you on the day.

Start - The walk will start at 10:30am and end at 12 midday, but you can start anytime within the allocated time frame.

Participants will be able to complete as many laps of the 1mile circuit as they feel capable of and can raise funds for their own individually chosen charity as they wish. - Blythe Bridge Rotary are simply facilitating the event for charities and groups to raise money for themselves.

Each participant will receive a Rotary medal, certificate and a small bottle of water as they finish – but please ensure you bring your own water for your requirements throughout the day. There will be food and drinks on sale within the park on the day of the event.

NB - Please ensure you dress accordingly for the weather conditions on the day and wear appropriate footwear for the pathways around the park (which include some rough and uneven surfaces). All participants must act in a safe and responsible manner throughout the whole event in the interest of all other participants and the general public within the park. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult or carer. Dogs must be kept on a lead.

Keeping Hydrated, each participant will receive a small bottle of water at the finish but they should ensure they bring their own water to keep well hydrated in what may be a very warm day.

We encourage all participants to remain with us after the walk to support the main North Staffs Armed Forces day events and activities, going on in the park throughout the remainder of the day.

Car parking – Please be aware there is only a limited amount of car parking in and around Longton park, so please arrive early and park responsibly.

We hope this keeps you informed but should you require any further information please don't hesitate to get back to me by return email.
