Refurbishing and re-roofing a garden shed in the grounds of "Our House", the base for the charity Academy of Dementia Research and Education

The main role of the Community Service Committee is to support other local groups and charities by carrying out "hands on" community work when the opportunity presents itself.  One such project has been the refurbishment and re-roofing of a garden shed in the garden of "Our House".  "Our House" is the name given to a property in Lutterworth that has become the base of the charity, the Acadamy for Dementia Research and Education (ADRE), founded and directed by one of our members.  This charity is aimed at providing a social network for those living with dimentia, and their carers, plus work and research into how the lives of those living with dimentia can be improved with mental and physical stimulation.

There is still much work to be done around the house and garden, and one such project our members could undertake was the refurbishment and and re-roofing of a ramshackle garden shed.
