Robert Easthope has sent this message via the members only area of the club website:

Good Afternoon
After last nights Council Meeting, Noel has decided that the above date will be a fundraiser for breast cancer. As we know Simon has been affected by this illness and Jane Lacey has been fundraising for this worthy cause. The money raised from the Sergeant at Arms fines, thank you very much, will go to the breast cancer charity, as decided by Elaine and Noel.
For this evening , which is open to partners, guests and friends of Rotary, all attendees will be required to wear something pink. Failure to attend the meeting will result in a £5, and I will not accept any excuses, well apart from serious illness's.
As sergeant at arms, I will of course be issuing fines, and Noel has decreed that these will be £5.
I shall be fining attendees for not trying hard enough, and for trying too hard. For instance, if an attendee thinks a pink wrist band will suffice, think again!
If an attendee should turn up in a pink suit, shirt , tie, socks and shoes, they will of course, not only be a laughing stock, but will be fined. I will also be as creative as I can be with regard to fines, so beware!
I do not have the e mails for friends, so if someone could send them to me or inform said friends of the evening, I will eternally grateful
YIRS
