Rotary 1010 – District Posts 2025-2026
It is the time of year once more when we are seeking interested individuals to join the District Support Team and Executive. It’s a really rewarding opportunity to help our Clubs and develop your own skills.
Alistair Robb, Buckhaven & Methil, has been appointed as District Governor Nominee for 2024-2025 and will serve as District Governor in the year 2026 - 2027.
Many members do not connect directly with the District Support team on a regular basis and so may not be aware of the roles in the Support team, and so in a break with tradition, this message is to all active members rather than just the Club leaders which has been the practice previously.
So please, check out and learn a little more about your Support team and consider joining us. Whilst there are specific qualifications for the role of District Governor, no specific previous Rotary experience is required for the majority of roles – just a desire to help make a difference.

In addition to these roles there are lots of ways to get involved and if you're not sure, we're really keen to offer folks an opportunity to get involved and see what's involved by shadowing or taking on an Assistant role to provide that insight.
Your current District team are all listed here https://www.rotary-ribi.org/districts/officers.php?DistrictNo=1010&YrID=120 and even if there is someone in the job that takes your fancy please reach out to us. Succession planning has been a real challenge for us in recent years and, just as in the Clubs, a willing volunteer is always made very welcome…. And the District Secretary is on the lookout for an Assistant Secretary to help and succeed me in 2026 - well you know what they say, if you don’t ask you don't get!!
District Secretary, Carol Stewart looks forward to hearing from all those with an interest by 8pm on Sunday 15th December.
