A social evening at Saxby's Cider Farm in Farndish. We started off by having a tour of the orchards on the back of a 23-seater trailer towed by a tractor - that was an experience in itself.
This was followed by a tour of the cider processing plant where the apples are pressed and then turned into cider in huge vats, named after famour "pigs" as a salute to the fact that the farm used to be a pig farm, before changing to apples.
We were then able to taste several of the ciders in the bar area, where we were also able to partake of our own food to accompany the drinks. All in all, a very pleasant evening.
