The Careers Showcase is a well-established initiative at Prescot Primary, where pupils are given the opportunity to meet a wide range of professionals and learn about different careers in an engaging and interactive way. It’s a simple but powerful concept, giving young people early exposure to real-life jobs, sparking curiosity, building confidence, and raising aspirations about what they can achieve in the future.

Members of Rainhill Rotary attended the event to represent a variety of professions and backgrounds, and to share their own experiences with the pupils.Conversations ranged from day-to-day responsibilities in different roles, to the pathways people have taken in their careers, and the skills needed to succeed.
What stood out most on the day was the enthusiasm of the children.Their curiosity, thoughtful questions, and willingness to engage made the event truly rewarding for everyone involved. It was clear that events like this play a vital role in helping young people broaden their horizons and begin to think about their futures.
Rainhill Rotary has been serving the local community for many years, supporting a wide range of initiatives from fundraising and charitable donations to community events and outreach.Supporting schools and young people is a key part of that commitment, and the Careers Showcase is a great example of how local organisations can work together to make a meaningful impact.![]()
Events like this highlight the strength of our community, where schools, volunteers, and local organisations come together to invest in the next generation.Rainhill Rotary looks forward to continuing to support initiatives that inspire, educate, and open doors for young people across our area.
