Thu, May 21st 2026 at 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

in aid of British Heart Foundation

We are pleased to announce details of our 2026 Charity Golf Day – this year it is the 32nd! As usual it will be held at Thurlestone Golf Club which boasts one of the best courses in the South West with wonderful views – see the details at www.thurlestonegolfclub.co.uk

The format is a Full WHS Handicap Stableford played as a team of three, with the best two on each hole to count. Teams can be made up of gentlemen, ladies - in 2025 a ladies team tied for first place - or mixed teams. Prizes will be presented on the day with many to be won. However, to qualify for the major prizes an active WHS handicap will be needed and will be frozen on the morning of Monday 18th May.

We are pleased to confirm our lead sponsor as Sabre Insurance Services

We welcome additional sponsorship. Sponsorship package details here.

The entry fee of £60 per person (£45 for Thurlestone Golf Club Members) includes the golf, a twos competition, prizes and an excellent two course buffet meal. In 2025 the event raised £8,000 for two charities and other local charities.

This year, we have one main charity, the British Heart Foundation in memory of one of our founder members, Alwyn Milburn who sadly died on the first green in September. The British Heart Foundation supports all aspects of research, treatment and managing heart problems.
