Speaker Lynne Symonds on Wulugu Project

Tue, Aug 4th 2020 at 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

We were pleased to welcome Lynne back on Zoom to up date us on the project. As a small charity they are finding it hard to raise funds, but things continue to progress, as mentioned below.

Lynne Symonds speaking

In years past they have set up 7 schools for girls and hostels for teachers.

They are to open two more new schools in September.  There are many volunteers in norther Ghana to carry on the work, so that Lynne has not been out there for some time.  They work with other groups in the country.

The latest initiative is to build bore holes in villages, so that all the people can have clean water, which is so necessary for the health and well being of everyone.  The have built 3 so far, helping 20,000 people to have safe drinking water.  Each borehole cost about £3,000 and she was grateful for our donation earlier in the year towards this work.

She also repeated that they were grateful for our donation for trees, mad some time ago.
