The weather was not good enough to do our usual walk along the seafront at Grange, so we met up at the hotel for drinks prior to dinner and chat.
On Saturday 10 of us did a 5+ mile walk up hill and down dale, although there seemed to be more ups than downs. Everyone survived without mishap. We were blessed with good weather, apart from a bit of drizzle for a short period at lunchtime.
After rest and relaxation, we assembled in the bar again before dinner. Afterwards, we took part in the compulsory quiz kindly arranged by Fiona and Gill, Peter's daughters. It was sufficiently taxing and all 4 teams had similar scores, with one overall winner.
On Sunday morning the weather was poor, so the planned walk was abandoned. However, several members of the party did their own thing, thus enjoying an improvement in the weather later in the morning.
Another successful year's trip, thanks to Gordon's organisation. the quizmasters, and excellent food and accommodation at the Damson Dene Hotel, where we are made welcome every year.
