Some of us met up at Wolf House for lunch and then proceeded to Grange, where we did a short 2 mile walk along the promenade. We then went to the Damson Dene Hotel and met up with the rest of the party for dinner. This was followed by a hilarious quiz organised by one of the hotel staff for all guests, won by one of our teams.
Saturday saw 9 of the party going to Elterwater for a 5 mile walk in glorious sunshine. Others had been exploring the shops or other attractions. After dinner Gill and Fiona had arranged another quiz for our party, which proved to be quite fiendish if you did not watch soaps or follow pop music. However, a good time was had by all and thanks are due to the girls for entertaining us.
Sunday morning, the walkers went to Brotherswater for a short walk, again in lovely weather, before eating lunch and making our way home.
It had been another very successful weekend, organised by Gordon Coxon, to whom we are all most grateful.
