Youth Opportunities

Activities include working with schools,Youth Competitions, Rotary Youth Leadership Award scheme, our Interact Club, Rotakids clubs and much more.


For a number of years the club has presented Dictionaries to Year 6 children at Seaburn Dene, Redby and Dame Dorothy Street Primary schools.

We have also sponsored RYLA candidates at the annual camp over many years, helping them to gain confidence in their own abilities and make new friends.

In 2013 a young chef from Hylton College was successful in winning the District Young Chef competition and went forward to the Regional finals.  He was not successful there as he faced some stiff competition.

We have sponsored Rotakids clubs at Redby Academy, Dame Dorothy Street Primary and St Benet's Primary schools.

An Interact club has been formed at Monkwearmouth Academy.
