Teams of three pupils compete against teams from other schools in two age groups, Intermediate 11-13 years and Senior 14-17 years . The competition consists of four rounds, local, district, regional and national.
This year's competition is being run along the lines of debating rather a speaking competition. Whilst only a slight variance it comes about following feedback from various sources involved in previous competitions.
Kinver High participated against six other teams in the Senior category of the local round on 21st January 2020 .Up against some strong competition with an assortment of topics they really did themselves proud.Whilst not fortunate enough to proceed to the District round, they thoroughly enjoyed participating in the new format of the competition and look to taking on the developmental feedback in order to prepare for next years event.

more The club has presented its first tranche of dictionaries for this year. Dictionary 4 Life comprises 1,000 illustrations, 10,000 entries and 20,000 definitions printed in full colour on leaflet grade paper from a sustainable forest and contains 288 pages.
