JUDGING CRITERIA

The judging panel will use a set of criteria to select the winner/winners who have put forward the issue that, in the judges' opinion, would be of most benefit.

A draft list of criteria has been drawn up as follows:

What kind of ideas are the judges looking for?

The judges are looking for ideas that:

Are innovative and original.

Address an identified problem.

Are practical within the available budget.

Are capable of being delivered.

Will benefit residents of the Royal Borough.

Please avoid ideas that:

Comment on an existing service but don’t suggest how it could be improved (e.g. ‘do something about litter’).

Request a new facility or service but are not innovative or original (e.g. ‘we want more recycling facilities’).

Couldn’t be delivered within the available budget (unless you have a proposal for covering the cost of the project).

Are innovative and original but may not be deliverable.

What do we expect from our winners?

We are looking for winners who are enthusiastic and committed to putting their ideas into practice.

You should have thought about how the idea can be brought to reality and what kind of help you will need.

We will help you to make your idea happen but we want you to be in the driving seat
