‘Serious Quiz Teams battle for top Spot
It was a closely fought match between many local top quiz teams, at the Maidenhead Thames Rotary Charity Quiz, held on Friday 28 April 2023 at St. Edmund Campion Primary School Hall.
A massive thankyou to all the 20 teams who supported this event, the first since lockdown, to raise much needed money for the superb organisation for special needs children’ The Thames Valley Adventure Playground’ located at Taplow on the A4 and for local Rotary supported Charities.
The Rotary quiz started in 2009 running until 2019 at the Holiday Inn until lockdown and prior to the start of the quiz we warmly remembered Tim Brooke-Taylor, our sadly missed entertaining quiz master, throughout this time of 11 years.
The Collegiate team won just pipping the Craufurd Arms, both tied on 163 points, on a tie break question ‘How many months did Queen Victory reign, answer 763. The Quisling team came third on 162 points.
