Mosaic Update

Saltburn schoolchildren's participation

We recently posted news of the Rotary Mosaic that the club has commissioned and, whilst still very much a work-in-progress, the mosaic had it's first public outing at Saltburn Primary School this week.

Under the supervision of Helen and Derek from Saltburn Studios and Gallery, children were invited to place tiles into the design and by doing so become part of an enduring piece of art that will be visible in the community for decades to come.

The reaction from the teachers and the students was amazing, and everyone was really enthusiastic about being able to join in. We're looking forward to creating more such opportunities, and inviting a wider community participation in the near future.
