REDUCE, REUSE, REPAIR

Sun, Nov 22nd 2026 at 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

At the Woodhouse Centre Oxted RH8 9HT - Help the environment, help yourself and help others...how to give your unwanted items a second life

Looking for ways to help the environment by reducing consumption and sending less to landfill? Come to “Reduce, Reuse, Repair” for a lively and inspiring community event with a Christmassy theme.

Looking for a difficult Christmas present? Then Titsey Rotary Club can help you. Donating to one of our hand-picked charities in Carolle’s Christmas Charity Appeal will improve the life of a child living in poverty in our area and provide you with a gift certificate to use as a Christmas present.

The event takes place at The Woodhouse Centre, Oxted on Sunday, 22 November, 2:00–4:00pm and will be opened by the Leader of Tandridge District Council, Councillor Catherine Sayer.

This special event will bring together some fantastic local charities and organisations that repair, reuse and redistribute items by giving them a new purpose, instead of them being thrown away. Whether you want to buy that impossible gift in a responsible way, learn new skills or simply be inspired, there’s something here for everyone. Why not pop the date in your calendar and be part of the movement towards a more sustainable future?

What to expect:

  • Choose a donation to make in Carolle’s Christmas Charity Appeal. In return you will receive a gift certificate to use as a Christmas present.
  • If you prefer a physical gift, you’ll be spoilt for choice when you see the handmade goods made from donated materials by the Woodhouse Centre and Men in Sheds.
  • Find new homes for your unwanted items through organisations including: Sal’s Shoes, The Hygiene Bank, The Woodhouse Centre, St. John’s Community Fridge, The Bike Hub, Bags of Hope Projects and more. Please bring along your pre-loved shoes (no high heels) for Sal’s Shoes, unused hygiene products and gift sets for Hygiene Bank, pre-loved backpacks for Bags of Hope Projects, and bikes that you no longer need to donate to The Bike Project.
  • Learn how to repair and reuse your belongings with help from Hurst Green Repair Shed, Men in Sheds, the Woodhouse Centre and others.
  • Connect with like-minded people.
  • Relax in our café area and enjoy the friendly atmosphere
