Carolle's Christmas Charity Appeal 2026

How about giving a gift that will improve the life of a child living in poverty in our area?

Do you find it hard to think of a Christmas present for someone in your life? How about giving a gift that will improve the life of a child living in poverty in our area? Use Carolle’s Christmas Charity Appeal to make a donation to one of our hand-picked charities. In return you will receive a gift certificate to use as a gift.

At the moment you can only donate to Carolle’s Christmas Charity Appeal by visiting us at an event (such as 'Reduce, Reuse, Repair' on 22 November or LOVE Oxted on 28 November) or one of our Club meetings. Watch this space for more opportunities in the future.

This is how your donation could be used:

Coats4Kids works through schools to give warm winter coats, with dignity, to children who need one, so they arrive ready to learn. We do one thing: put a warm winter coat on a child. The cost of a coat voucher is £25. This covers everything, from the coat itself to delivery to the child’s home.

  • £5 is 20% of a coat to keep a child warm this winter
  • £10 is nearly half-way to sending a coat to a local child
  • £25 puts a warm winter coat on a local child who needs it

The Hygiene Bank logo

The Hygiene Bank - Oxted and Godstone Hygiene Bank Project is your local Hygiene Bank project. Help us support people experiencing hygiene poverty especially children and families. Products for children are the most expensive things we supply as we can’t buy them in bulk at a good price.

  • £5 will buy the basics for a child - toothpaste, toothbrush and body wash
  • £10 will add children’s shampoo and nappies to the above
  • £20 will fill a “bag for life” with hygiene products for a family

As part of the Caterham & District Foodbank network, our Oxted and Caterham Foodbank at the Oxted URC  helps provide emergency food and crisis support to about 70 local people across northern Tandridge District each week - one third of whom on average are children.

  • £5 helps buy supplementary fresh fruit and veg for families referred to us in food crisis
  • £10 covers the weekly running costs for our electric van making its collections and deliveries across the area
  • £25 covers the cost of an emergency food parcel with ten meals' worth of nutritionally-balanced non-perishable food for an adult and child

Sals Shoes logo
Sal's Shoes is a children’s footwear charity passing on donations of new and preloved shoes to feet in need, both nationwide and around the world. we accept all types of shoes in all sizes but not high heels.

  • £5 helps five local children by paying for the delivery of five pairs of preloved Sal’s Shoes to children in need.
  • £10 a brand-new pair of school shoes to a local child in need, helping them feel comfortable, confident and ready to learn.
  • £20 makes a child ready for school and PE by providing new school shoes and PE trainers, so they can fully participate in school life.

Stripey Stork collects donations of toys, clothes and equipment for babies, children and teenagers from the community. We check them for quality and safety and rehome them with families who need them in Surrey and Croydon.

  • £5 could provide a week’s worth of new underwear for a child to add to our pre-loved clothing packs
  • £10 could buy a new mattress for a donated Moses basket so a child can sleep safely
  • £15 could buy a school bag with essential items including pad, stationery, activity book, maths set and scientific calculator, and water bottle
