A bright dry Friday evening in November helped to make a profit of 2328 for the Rotary Club of Crewe and Nantwich Weaver, this included sales of Glo sticks and a raffle. The Bonfire was organised by Ian and Tracy Williams, owners of the Bickerton Poacher and fireworks were provided Gavin Taylor of Fireworks Direct.
A number of Rotarians, ably assisted by some unsuspecting family members, oversaw the marshalling of car parking, sales of entrance tickets, Glo sticks and raffle tickets as well as assisting with the fireworks.
A record number of visitors enjoyed a superb pyrotechnic display and indulged in the outside BBQ and bar, followed by more food and entertainment inside the pub, provided by the popular Rock Band Wayne and the Hairy Peaches!!
