An annual district event for the disabled which couldn't be dampened by the weather
Another wonderful day (apart from the weather which ranged from heavy drizzle to a downpour). Having said that, it didn't dampen spirits and yet again competitors from the wishing well were extremely successful by winning a host of medals.
But the day is not about winning, its about fellowship, fun and taking part. This is what makes this event special and the happiness it generates is tremendous for everyone that attends.
To ensure that Aycliffe is well represented, the Rotary Club of Newton Aycliffe provides transport and a packed lunch for all of the competitors and their companions.
