Our second year of this well supported competition has got off to another fine start.
At the end of the first 10 week session participants entered their photos for landscape and nature topics. The entries were all of a high and varied standard and the selection of winners was made the more difficult by the breadth of subject and the quality of presentation. 4 judges spent quite some time deliberating the quality of photograph, subject matter and presentation....a challenging task.
Rotarian John Abercrombie, who has led on this project from the start, has put a lot of work into the event and has to be congratulated. His courage in taking the results back to the participants must be recognised(!!!)...not a task that many of us would have wanted to undertake....he did survive!!
Winner of the landscape section was....Bruce Christie..with ...James Duguid..runner up.
In the nature section...Bernard Mullins..took first prize, with...Kathleen Reid..second.
Congratulations to all who took part...on to session 2.
