Tues 15th and Wed 17th Jan 2013 saw over 60 teams of 4 primary school children take part in the annual Rotary Fun Quiz. P4 & 5 teams took part on the Tues with P6 & 7 teams on the Wednesday.
The annual community quiz for primary school pupils, organised by the Rotary Club of Westhill & District, is so popular that it is necessary to stage the event over two evenings. With a total of around 200 participants and spectators attending each evening, the atmosphere was electric, with much excitement and noise being generated. The competitions comprised 60 questions over 10 rounds, featuring subjects ranging from general knowledge, sport, music to history and geography.
P4 winners - Iestyn Harries, Angus Berryman, Scott Coull and Mathew Begg.
P5 winners - Qadr Sikiru, Adam Mitchell and Nachan Crombie.
P6 winners - Duncan Wight, Oliver Watt, James Donaldson and Declan Jamieson.
P7 winners - Finlay Smart, Andrew McRae, Ross McNeill and Andrew Riddell.
Vice Presidents Jim Arbuckle and John Fraser presented the winners with gift vouchers, while all pupils received a certificate.
