Oakley Stitcher’s, supported by volunteers including many from our club, ran a Teddy Bear play hospital at the Milestones Museum during half term from the 14th - 22nd February 2026.
The “Hospital” started with a registration process, a general check up, followed by MRI, CT Scan, X Ray, Ears and Eyes exam.
The Sticher’s expert seamstresses provided a free Teddy Bear (or any Soft Toy) repair if required, to the children’s prized possessions to bring them back to full health!
Finally, a bravery badge given to both child and toy.
The event proved to be incredibly popular with people traveling from far and wide and up to 200 Teddies seen each day. The Milestones Museum benefited from a significantly higher number of visitors than usual and have asked the team to put this on again for the Autumn half term.
Well done to Caroline of Oakley Stitchers for the initial concept and seeing it through to an amazing and innovation reality.
