THE WINNING STORY:
Gobble! Gobble! Gobble by Mabel Povey – Pipers Corner School
Mum told me to check the Christmas turkey, so I opened the fridge and the turkey blinked at me! I screamed so loudly the dog slid across the kitchen. Suddenly, the turkey leapt out and yelled, “I won’t be lunch!” Then it flapped around the kitchen like a feathery hurricane, knocking over Mum‘s flour and turning into a snowy turkey cloud. I tried catching it, but it was faster than my sister racing to her advent calendar chocolates. The turkey finally hid behind the Christmas tree and gobbled, ” Please let me go.” So, I did.
Looks like we are eating pizza for Christmas lunch!
