Our Guest speaker will be Brian Heard, formerly of New Scotland Yard

He spent 15 years at New Scotland Yard, initially as a general forensic scientist and then later specialising in forensic ballistics where he dealt with armed robberies, murders, suicides, police open fire incidents, terrorist incidents etc. He left NSY as deputy head of the Forensic Firearms Laboratory in 1977.

Forensic Firearms Laboratory

Following on from my time at New Scotland Yard, he spent 25 years in Hong Kong as the director of the Hong Kong forensic firearms laboratory where he dealt with the Triads and the very vicious Mainland Dai hungai gangs. He also held the police rank of Superintendent of Police (U.K. equivalent rank).
