The Rotary District Quiz made a fantastic return this year, all thanks to Rtn Peter Atkinson of Durham Elvet Rotary. Peter worked tirelessly to coordinate and host four of the five group stages, with teams from Berwick upon Tweed, Hexham, Sunderland, Darlington, and Cleveland battling their way to the grand final. That final took place on Thursday, 19th March 2026, at the Holiday Inn in Washington, where teams and supporters gathered for a fun-filled evening.
After a series of rounds covering a wide range of topics, Hexham Rotary came out on top, with Darlington in second place and Berwick upon Tweed taking third. DG Joy Palmer-Cooper presented the trophy to the victorious Hexham team and praised the evening as a brilliant chance for clubs to come together in the spirit of fellowship. She also gave a big shoutout to Peter for reviving the district quiz and thanked him and Polly for all their hard work in making it happen.
Well done to all clubs who participated this year and we look forward to the District Quiz 2026-27!
