The Rotary Foundation supports large international activities with Global Grants whereby your money grows by 3.5 times!
So how does it work?
Clubs contribute annually to Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund and, following a 3-year investment period, this money is then made available for project funding, 50% being available to fund projects in our Rotary Districts.
In the case of Global Grants, Rotary Foundation will give a 100% match of the amount allocated to a project by a District and they will give a 50% match of club funds, so your £1 becomes £3.50!
That is why, as a Rotarian or an individual, you should consider donating to Rotary Service projects in your community.
In 2010, around 200 Rotary Clubs across 15 districts in Rotary GB&I came together in a major Rotary GB&I wide project to address the problem of drought and food shortage in rural drylands worldwide.
