Club Walk

Weather permitting (!) I will be leading the February walk. It will be on February 24th and I suggest a 10.30 start. We will start and finish at the Riverside Coffee Shop by Chollerford Bridge. The walk will be around 3.7 miles and would take a little over 2 hours. We would walk uphill from Chollerford past some remains of the Wall and then across to St Oswalds at Heavenfield where there are fabulous views on a nice day. We will enjoy a coffee break, then it will be downhill all the way across open fields to the Tyne river bank and back to Chollerford. (Optionally at the start or end we can walk from Chollerford to the remains of the Roman bridge , which were depleted in 670AD to build Hexham Abbey monastery). If you would like to participate please let me know. I will then send more details to you a few days before the walk.
