Presidents’ Party

Not one but two past Presidents entertained Hexham Rotary to an evening of drinks and nibbles on the 11^th August 2022. The original event, in Andrew Rigg’s year as President should have taken place in 2019 but was postponed due to a rain storm. The new date in 2020 fell victim to Covid and then it was Miles Middleton’s turn as President. Covid again intervened both in 2020 and 2021 but finally they managed a joint party at the Corbridge Cricket Club.

Some 20 guests were present at what was an excellent venue and were welcomed with a glass of Pimms by the two ex Presidents. The weather was exceptional and the veranda provided welcome shade from the sun. The buffet was excellent and both Andrew and Miles gave short talks thanking the club for their support over three difficult years.
