Members and membership

We need more men and women of all ages and backgrounds to join the Rotary Club of Romford, and to use their time, talents, skills and energy to improving the lives of people in our local community and others around the world.   By belonging to Romford Rotary, you can enjoy the benefits of business and social networking, personal development, meeting new friends, enjoying  guest speakers and events, engaging in community and international projects, and having a great deal of fun experiencing that special sense of fulfilment that comes from achieving something really worthwhile.

The Romford Club has a strong and extensive programme of on-going aid to our local communities such as Hope4Havering, Supporting Romford Street Sleepers, the Havering Museum in Romford, and the Borough's Mayor and Council; and we have international projects active in Lebanon, Uganda, the Philippines and elsewhere, together with continuing support to Rotary International’s own Foundation Charity and its world-wide operations.

Our Membership procedures are presently under review but Club members, as stated in the RIBI Club Constitution, should be adult persons of good character and good business, professional and/or community reputation and agree to uphold high moral and ethical standards in their personal, business and community life as well as in their interaction with other people generally; membership of a club is by invitation only, and at the discretion of the members.   We feel it is helpful, therefore, that you take time to visit us on a few occasions to ensure not only that you get to know our members and that you will feel happy being part of the club, and also that you give us a chance to get to know you.
