The Manningtree Christmas Market returns on 6 December — bigger, brighter and full of community cheer

On Saturday 6 December, Manningtree’s High Street will come alive with the spirit of the festive
season as the Christmas Market returns for its third year.
Brought to you by the Rotary Club of Manningtree Stour Valley and the Manningtree District
Business Chamber, the market has quickly become one of the most popular events in the local
calendar. Even Storm Daragh couldn’t stop the fun last year as stalls held firm and visitors braved the
wind and rain in huge numbers to celebrate the together, reflecting Manningtree’s unbeatable
community spirit.
This year’s market will once again fill the High Street with artisan stalls, handcrafted gifts, festive
food and drink, choirs, bands, the legendary Manningtree Bangers and street performers
coordinated by Lemmings Theatre. Children can enjoy a free Santa’s Grotto and a Yule Lantern
Parade.
The Manningtree Christmas Market is a not-for-profit event run by volunteers, with all funds raised
by the Rotary Club during the event, and through its programme of festive fundraising activities,
including the much loved Santa Sleigh tour through Manningtree, Mistley and Lawford, going
directly to local charities and community causes. In recent years, Rotary fundraising has supported
food banks, youth and wellbeing projects, wildlife rescue and local improvement initiatives.
The Rotary Club of Manningtree Stour Valley is a small but welcoming group, always ready to meet
new visitors at its weekly meetings. Members work together to support both local and international
charities, building friendship through shared service to the community. Alongside their fundraising
and voluntary work, they also enjoys social events throughout the year,
This Manningtree Christmas Market is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared
Prosperity Fund. The organisers would also like to thank City & Country, Rose Builders, Lawford
Parish Council, Manningtree Business Chamber, Mistley Parish Council, Bradfield Parish
Council and Manningtree Town Council for their generous support which has made the event
possible.
So come along this December and experience the magic of Manningtree at Christmas — a
celebration of community, creativity and festive joy.
