On 15th September we were visited by Alexander Novikov the 1st. Press Secretary from the Russian Embassy. This very personable young man, who admitted that he had never been to this part of London, arrived very promptly and proved to be good company during our lunch.
When it came for Alexander to give his talk he surprised us all by saying that instead of talking he was prepared to answer any questions that we might like to ask. The questions were a little slow at first but as the members got into the swing of things the questions became more probing and interesting and they were answered in a full and very diplomatic manner.
We would like to thank Alexander for spending his time with us and also Colin Davies for arranging such an interesting speaker to visit our club.
