Arn't we the lucky ones.
Today at our Rotary Meeting we were treated to a 'two for the price od one'.
Past President Brian Taff's or our Mr Rotary as some of us call him, was asked by our speaker secretary Ron Geggus to give us an illistrated talk about his trip to Japan, by his own admission Brian was a little wary of off lots of photographs which have little meaning to people who have not experienced the holiday. However, clever Mr. Taffs presented just a few of his many pictures and added a most amusing and witty commentry.
This short presentation allowed Brian to talk about another subject very close to his heart, The Boy Scout Movenment and in particular the forthcoming centenary of the 1st Upminster Scout Troup to which he has been attached for nigh on sixty years.
So we had two talks for the price of one. Thank you Brian for a most entertaining and informative talk and for all the other tasks that you undertake to keep our club moving forward.
