After the club meeting on Thursday 3rd. May President George and Rotarian Colin called round to see Dick Wylie who is a founder member of our club and who remains as an honorary member. The purpose of the visit was twofold. Firstly we wanted to see how Dick is faring as he continues to look after his ailing wife and secondly to present him with his personal copy of the Bull which is the last one to be printed in it's present form. Dick was pleased to see the Editor and Publisher of the magazine and proceeded to talk about the many happy years he has spent as a Rotarian.
Whilst there Colin took some photographs of Dick which we hope to use in the publication of Dick's memoirs. We said that we would have liked a photograph of him as a young man and he said he had the very thing. As is by magic he produced a stunning photograph of himself as a young man about to become a vet.
We chatted for a while and finally took our leave with the promise that the next publication we want to present to Dick is a printed copy of his memoirs complete with photographs. What an enjoyable and rewarding visit it was!
